SYNOPSIS:
Set in a small country town in Victoria, Australia, the Ward family have fallen on hard times. With the sad news that their Mum's health is rapidly failing, the eldest son, Matt, has taken on the burden of carrying the family through these dark times with the help of their family friend, lovingly known as Uncle Steve, who has been there to help care for the youngest sibling, Ian. Taking care of a family and a sick mother, Matt is quietly battling with his mental health and is struggling to not let it get the better of him.
Helping their sick Mum is a fresh out of school, Nurse Frankie, who has only just become a country travel nurse. She didn't quite expect her first client on the job to be one like this. Knowing full well she is trained for this, she quickly learns that sometimes heartache can be more painful to watch up close.
Whilst all of this is going on, across the world in New York is the middle sibling, Rachel, who has gone overseas to pursue her career and dreams. Dealing with the guilt and helplessness of not being there to support her brother during this crazy time, Rachel must also battle the hardships of being alone. Although her flight home is only a week away, will she make it home in time to say goodbye to her Mum?
